As we continue to slowly but surely inch back towards the weekend, let’s all take a minute to grab a coffee or whiskey (no judgement) and get into what this beautiful Tuesday has to offer.

FOLLOW THE TRAIL OF GUNS
SOUTHERN INDIANA MAN SLAPPED WITH OVER 100 CHARGES IN MASSIVE DEER POACHING INVESTIGATION

On the morning of December 18, 2025, officers responded to a shots-fired complaint in the Charlestown area and were soon able to catch up with Snyder during a traffic stop. It was during that interaction that they discovered the bodies of multiple deer inside the vehicle, preceded by a number of discarded firearms along the roadway leading up to his truck.

Given the damning evidence inside and outside of the vehicle, Snyder and his passenger were arrested at the scene and the truck was seized as evidence.

What followed was the unsealing of an even bigger mess than expected…

The 11-footer on the Fraser River | Sturgeon Slayers Facebook

🎣 ‘Sturgeon Slayers’ Land Monster White Sturgeon, Shattering Their Own Record on the Fraser River. Chilliwack-based fishing guides the Sturgeon Slayers are celebrating a hell of a catch after reeling in one of the largest white sturgeon ever documented on rod and reel in British Columbia. On a recent trip along the Fraser River, the group, led by founder Kevin Estrada, hooked, fought, tagged, and safely released a massive white sturgeon that required two measuring tapes just to document its full size. The fish stretched 11 feet long (8.2-foot fork length) with a remarkable 60-inch pectoral girth, weighing in at an estimated 1,200 pounds.

This month’s catch eclipses the group’s previous record setter from 2021 (an 11-foot-6.5-inch sturgeon), which they also tagged and released. After a roughly 40-minute battle, the ancient, prehistoric-looking fish was returned to the water unharmed.

“It’s a reminder that there are giants swimming in the Fraser River, and it’s our responsibility to ensure future generations have an opportunity to witness and protect them,” Estrada said. “We don’t own the river. We steward it. Every fish we catch is treated as a living record, not a trophy.”

🐻 Alberta Officials Seeking Poaching Suspect After Grizzly Bear Shot Near Sundre. Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Services is investigating the illegal killing of a grizzly bear found shot and left along Highway 734 near Sundre on June 14th.

A complainant reported hearing a gunshot around 8:30 p.m. and seeing a black 2003–2006 Chevrolet Crew Cab Duramax diesel truck with tinted windows and a loud exhaust speeding north from the scene. Authorities are asking the public for any information on the vehicle or the incident to help identify the suspect.

🧑‍💻 Texas Data Breach Hits Over 3 Million Hunting and Fishing License Holders. More than 3 million Texas hunting and fishing license holders may have had personal information exposed in a data breach involving a third-party vendor that handles license sales for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

The compromised data includes driver’s license numbers, passport numbers (if provided), email addresses, phone numbers, and residential addresses. Importantly, officials confirmed that Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and financial information (such as credit card details) were not accessed.

TPWD described the breach as serious and noted that many of its own staff were affected. The agency has implemented additional security measures, is working with the vendor on stronger safeguards, and is offering affected individuals one year of free credit monitoring through Kroll. Officials noted that license sales will continue as normal for the upcoming season and are advising residents to monitor accounts, consider credit freezes, and to keep an eye out for phishing attempts.

THOUGHTS FROM THE STAND // FROM OUR NOTEPAD

  1. Happy belated Father’s Day to all the dads out there. If you have kids, you’ve hit the damn lottery.

  2. We really have to stop accepting all of this neurosis as health advice.

  3. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger — but only if you refuse to carry the emotional baggage it hands you.

  4. We’re always asking “Where is God???” Perhaps he’s wondering the same thing about us. 🙏

VIDEO // SOME THINGS JUST HAVE TO BE SEEN

🫎 This was this dude’s first ever moose encounter and he wasn’t all that a-moosed by it. All jokes aside, this fella came upon this bull while on his bike and slowed down to let the animal pass.

Well, the moose had other plans…

WANDERINGS // A SFW GLIMPSE OF OUR BROWSER HISTORY

The World Cup tourists that are giving the whole world a detailed tour of America. Four of the most famous father-son rivalries in history. My sources say you won’t give this digital Magic 8-ball a whirl. A Ferrari and a distinctive Highland Park home combined for an iconic scene in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. This adapted excerpt from a new book details how it all went (crashing) down.
