PAIR OF HIKERS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN YELLOWSTONE’S FIRST BEAR ATTACK OF 2026
Two hikers were seriously injured Monday afternoon in a bear encounter on the popular Mystic Falls Trail near Old Faithful, marking the year’s first bear attack in Yellowstone National Park.
The National Park Service confirmed that emergency personnel responded to the Mystic Falls area after the two hikers sustained injuries from what they believe to be at least one, but perhaps more bears. Both were airlifted from the scene and transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, where they underwent surgery…

They say you learn something new every day. Today, I learned about seven of the greatest farts in Western literature. Is it weird that I do not feel bad for this man who has lived all by himself on an island for 32 years? The heartbreaking part of it, at least for me, is that he now has to leave. I would trade my iPhone for a pager tomorrow (so long as we brought back pay phones) but I’d probably leave these other discontinued gadgets from the 90s right where they are: in the past.
