FLORIDA MAN KILLED IN GLACIER NATIONAL PARK’S FIRST FATAL BEAR ATTACK IN NEARLY 30 YEARS
A 33-year-old Florida man was fatally mauled in a suspected grizzly bear encounter while hiking alone in Glacier National Park, marking the park’s first bear-related fatality since 1998.
Anthony Edward Pollio of Davie, Florida, was last heard from on the evening of Sunday, May 3rd. He had texted family about his plans to hike the steep Mount Brown Trail toward the Mount Brown Fire Lookout above Lake McDonald on the park’s west side. Pollio, an avid outdoorsman who sold outdoor equipment and served as a church deacon, was on a two-week trip and described by relatives as fearless and experienced in the backcountry…

Minnesota hunter accused of killing bobcat out of season: A southern Minnesota man is accused of killing a bobcat and failing to obey deer hunting regulations. All musicians are a little weird. But these are among the weirdest and were ejected from their bands on account of that weirdness. It actually sounds quite fitting that Shakespeare might just very well have invented “yo mama” jokes. Apparently roughly 30% of the US adult population is in possession of a Costco membership card (I am not one of them). Which begs the question; is it time I take the plunge and live like the Costco people? And on the opposite side of the Costco spectrum, we have 11 of the smallest restaurants in the US (where I am likely to feel more comfortable).
