AMERICAN HUNTER FINED NEARLY $29K AND BANNED FOR 10 YEARS IN ONTARIO FOR ILLEGAL MOOSE KILL, FALSIFYING TAGS

A Wisconsin man has been hit with a stiff penalty after illegally killing a cow moose while on a northern Ontario hunt back in the fall of 2023. According to reports and a recent court bulletin, Larry Szura, of New Auburn, Wisconsin, shot the animal from a public roadway and then attempted to cover it up by convincing his hunting partner to falsify a tag.

Officers stated that Szura shot the cow moose with a high-powered rifle while the animal was standing in the middle of a travelled portion of Nort Road, a clear violation of safety rules prohibiting the discharge of firearms toward or along public roads. In addition to letting the illegal shot go from a roadway, he was also without any form of a valid tag or the proper license for that class of animal

WANDERINGS // A SFW GLIMPSE OF OUR BROWSER HISTORY

The story of an English teacher who completely breaks down after learning that AI might very well bring down his whole world. But rather than going completely postal, he instead picks up a guitar, learns how to play from scratch, and slowly regains what it takes to find meaning in modernity. If you were fortunate enough to climb up on the bench seat of my ‘94 Sierra during my high school career, your ears were treated to my uncanny ability to mix music in my parents basement with a dial-up connection, a virus-ridden PC, a CD burner and my old friend Napster. I was part DJ, part curation machine and all musical genius. No algorithmic bullsh*t necessary. And for those of you who did not have the pleasure of riding with me, you can get kind of close with this radio that tunes to the past. And now that Easter weekend is behind us, I can safely say that I most certainly flirted with the line of “death by chocolate” but am happy to report that I did not exceed it.
